The first weekend of July brings another edition of the festival that celebrates electronic music in the city of Porto.

The days and nights of festivities return to Parque da Pasteleira on the 5th, 6th, and 7th of July with another edition of the Elétrico Festival. The Austrian duo Kruder & Dorfmeister and Germans Âme and Sven Väth are some of the acts on this year's programme.

Once again, the audience will be treated to an array of sets showcasing the diversity of electronic music, from house and techno to more experimental sounds, with a programme featuring an almost identical number of international (11) and national (10) artists.

Among the Portuguese entourage, highlights include Moullinex, GPU Panic, Xinobi, Rui Vargas, and Diana Oliveira, while on the international side, in addition to the aforementioned producers, the Germans artists Dixon and Michael Mayer stand out.

Three Theme-based Spaces

But Elétrico isn’t just about music. The event will once again feature three thematic spaces: one dedicated to art installations and live performances, another with yoga sessions, mindfulness and meditative concerts, and a third aimed at recreational and educational activities for children.

As usual, the organisation is also holding a conference at the venue, this year dedicated to the impact of artificial intelligence on art and society.

On the first day, Friday, gates will open at 3 p.m., while on Saturday and Sunday, they will open at 2 p.m. The festival closes at 1 a.m. on the first two days and at 11 p.m. on the last day.

Daily tickets and general passes (ranging from 35 to 80 euros) are available on the official Elétrico website, where more details about the line-up can be found. Admission is free for children under 12 years old, if accompanied by family members.
