Primavera Sound Porto 2024 isn't just about music. The festival returns to Parque da Cidade on 6, 7 and 8 June and brings with it experiences that allow visitors to immerse themselves in the city's economy and tourism. A trip to Bolhão or a visit to a replica of a historic market stall will give you a better idea of what Invicta is made of. But that's not all.

In its 11th edition, one of the main attractions of Primavera Sound Porto will once again be Mercado do Bolhão, which will be represented with a replica. The space, which will allow for a more interactive experience, welcomes visitors with a passport inviting them to explore the different city projects on site.

Among the projects that visitors will be able to interact with are TERA (Talent. Develop. Retain. Attract), Scale Up Porto and Invest Porto, under the Economy, Employment and Entrepreneurship department, as well as Visit Porto, under the Tourism and Internationalisation department.

In the space dedicated to TERA (Attract, Retain, Develop), participants will be put to the test in an interactive quiz, which will communicate the existing range of talents and job opportunities in Porto.

At the Scale Up Porto (We Are All Entrepreneurs) stall, players will have to eliminate the incorrect options and get the right answers about the city's start-up ecosystem.

In the InvestPorto (Shaping a Sustaintable City) area, participants will be challenged to associate nationalities with more than 40 Leading Investors.

In the tourism field, and at the Visit Porto (When You Stay In Porto, It Stays In You) stand, the Primavera Sound audience will be invited to discover the city's eight blocks through a dynamic game.

At each stall located in the mini Mercado do Bolhão, participants will have the opportunity to take part in interactive and themed activities devised by the municipality. Thus, at the end of the trip, upon presentation of the stickers proving their participation, they will enjoy a wine tasting and receive the Porto Kit, which includes a cap, tote bag/backpack and a Porto diary for the month of June.

Historic stall has a wheel of fortune

A replica of a historic Bolhão stall will be installed on the fringes of the small market. In this space, run by the municipal company GO Porto, there will be a wheel of fortune with offers for participants, which will materialise into opportunities to enjoy the best that Bolhão has to offer.

Among the prizes for visitors are vouchers with discounts that can be used at Bolhão's stalls and restaurants, bags alluding to the market and even products coming directly from the city's historic centre, such as fruit or flowers.

Surrounding space for relaxation

As the doors open at 3:45 p.m. and there are plenty of activities on offer, the venue will have a Surrounding Space that will allow visitors to enjoy moments of relaxation, while also providing an opportunity to socialise.

In this area, the public will have access to sun loungers, swings, beds, tables and puffs, as well as free water. The 'Bebe Água do Porto' (Drink Porto Water) project, run by Águas e Energia do Porto, encourages tap water consumption by offering reusable cups.

Family-friendly space for youngsters

In the Family Space, kids and adults will find different ways to have fun between concerts. Under the motto '20 anos a fazer do Porto casa' (20 years making Porto a home), the municipal company Domus Social will organise two different activities, which can be done in groups, with the aim of motivating healthy competition, while at the same time getting to know the main neighbourhoods of the Invicta better.

In this area of the venue, children will have access to colouring books and tubes of soap bubbles provided by the municipal company Porto Ambiente, as well as backpacks with colouring pencils offered by GO Porto.

As this is a space aimed at children, the area will have a baby changing room and nursery.

STCP reinforcement operation

At Primavera Sound Porto 2024, STCP associates itself once again to the event with a special operation that allows visitors to travel quickly and safely.

The operation consists of a daytime and night-time reinforcement of the lines that run close to the venue and the activation of a special late night service that will transport visitors to the city centre after the concerts.

The STCP service will run between Praça Cidade do Salvador (Anémona roundabout) and Aliados (via Avenida da Boavista and Praça da República) for passengers leaving near the centre of the Madrugada Network.

This service will only take passengers in the Aliados direction and will take approximately 30 minutes. This guarantees a frequency of approximately 8 minutes in the late hours of the night (Thursday to Friday, Friday to Saturday and Saturday to Sunday).

The special service starts at 11:30 p.m., with the last departure from Praça Cidade do Salvador (Anémona roundabout) at 4 a.m. See more information here.

On the first day of the festival, 6 June, there will be artists like SZA and PJ Harvey. The following day, which is already sold out, Lana Del Rey and Justice take the stage.
