Another company from the technology sector has chosen Porto to set up its operations. With 20 specialists already hired, Germany's Seven Principles wants to grow its team beyond 100 and expand its information technology (IT) business model from the city centre.

'Future projects originating in Germany will be mostly developed and supported by talent based in Portugal, bringing together professionals with many years of experience and promising young graduates', said the company's national director, Marco Lizardo.

The managing director of the German technology company, Reiner Moser, argues that 'choosing Portugal to expand our project took into account the excellent opportunities found here, namely the professionalism of the local IT specialists, combined with their cosmopolitan mentality, which will facilitate collaboration with other international teams'.

The office, at Rua de Sá da Bandeira, is currently being refurbished and guarantees 'all amenities necessary': 'shopping and restaurant areas, leisure spaces and gardens, and a public transport network and excellent low-density road access', he emphasises.

Founded in 1998 in Cologne, Seven Principles employs 443 professionals of 34 nationalities spread across ten offices, four of which outside Germany.
