RallySpirit returns to the roads from 30 to 1 June, with 120 cars entered, including some from Group B and the very rare Toyota 222D from Group S. The starting ceremony for this 9th edition will take place on Thursday at 4:30 pm in Jardim das Sobreiras in Foz do Douro.

Going from the countryside to the city, travelling through the Minho and Douro regions, this trip includes three days of immersion in adrenaline and competitive spirit, in addition to conviviality that once again brings together some of the biggest names in rallying in Portugal and the world.

The event, organised by X Racing, with the usual sporting collaboration of the Santo Tirso Automobile Club and other clubs in the region and the support of Ágora, is part of the exclusive European Rally-Legends and Slowly Sideways Europe circuit.

In this new race, so eagerly awaited by motorsport lovers, Miguel Oliveira's 'eternal and nostalgic' Diabolique team will be remembered, in a tribute paid by his son Miguel Pedro Oliveira, who is sponsoring the race.

120 cars... and the very rare Toyota 222D

As well as travelling overland, you can also expect to travel back in time with this rich historical showcase full of Group B models such as the Ford RS200, the Lancia Delta S4 and Rally 037, the Audi Quattro S1 E2, the Peugeot 205 T16, the MG Metro 6R4, the Toyota Celica Twincam Turbo, the Porsche 911 SCRS, the Opel Manta 400 and the precious Ascona 400 in the special Safari version.

Among these authentic machines, the public appearance of the exclusive Group S Toyota 222D, one of only three examples of this model in the world, is also noteworthy.

Lots of super specials and a new circuit

Divided into three days, the route begins with the technical checks, which will take place on the morning of the day of the event. The starting ceremony at 4:30pm opens the way towards Vila Nova de Gaia, where the first super special will take place, heading towards Santo Tirso and Barcelos. On the second day, Terras de Bouro and Vila Verde host two more Selective Sectors (SS), which precede the new super special, this year to be held on the Vasco Sameiro circuit in Braga.

Barcelos hosts the third and final stage of the races. Another novelty is the double passage through the Western and Southern Barcelos classifications, where the race will be run in a 'boucles' system.

This round of the rally closes at 9:30pm on Sunday 1 June with the podium ceremony and celebrations between participants and winners.
