Seaport of Leixões sets an historic record of freight handling in 2017

Last year was, most definitely, a very positive year for the seaport of Leixões, establishing new freight handling records, with 19.5 million tons of cargo handled, in other words, 0.8 p.p. up regarding the year 2016.

Tripass 2018 even more inviting

Tripass 2018 is even more inviting as its main purpose is to spur the return of cinema shows to the city centre. With a brand new appealing image, the Tripass is an initiative launched by Porto City Hall in 2017 and it grants discounts in cinema shows at Porto Municipal Theatre (Rivoli and Campo Alegre), Passos Manuel and Trindade.

Concert in favour of Syrian students brings together Pedro Burmester and Mário Laginha at Casa da Música

Renowned pianists Mário Laginha and Pedro Burmester will play on 4 February at Casa da Música to support students from Syria. The concert is scheduled for 6 pm and it is jointly organised by Casa da Música and the Global Platform for Syrian Students. This event is held under the high patronage of the former President of the Republic, Jorge Sampaio.

Le Stade de Wimbledon opens French film shows at Rivoli

The journey to french cult film is the first topic of the Seventh Art sessions that will take place every Tuesday at Rivoli, starting on 23 January, at 6.30m pm. The film screening features two 35mm films, "Le Stade de Wimbledon", by Mathieu Amalric, at 6.30 pm followed by the presentation of the film "Trois ponts sur la rivière" by Jean-Claude Biette at 10 pm.
