Porto and Galicia discuss energy efficiency in Waste Water Treatment Plants

Porto City Hall and the Xunta de Galicia (Regional Executive of Galicia) will carry out a cross-border cooperation project to improve energy efficiency in Waste Water Treatment Plants (WWTP) and to make residual water treatment more sustainable as well. The Aqualitrans' mission is to improve water quality, to reduce the energy consumption and to decrease the running costs of the WWTP.

One evening of Sufi poetry devoted to famous Persian poet Rumi

The ALPAD - Luso-Persian Association for Fellowship and Development promotes a lecture on the work of Rumi, a famous 13th-century Persian Sunni Muslim poet, jurist, Islamic scholar, theologian, and Sufi mystic, 25 November, starting at 9.30 pm. Porto Football club Estádio do Dragão awarded by energy-efficiency of its premises

The "Estádio do Dragão" received the 2017 EDP Electrical Power and Environment Prize for service buildings. The award was delivered by Vice-President of Porto City Hall, Filipe Araújo, in a ceremony held at the Convento do Beato, in Lisbon.

Chess classes are available in Porto Public Library and applications are now open. The study programme, jointly organised with the Escola do Silêncio [The school of Silence] begins 2 December and it will run on a weekly basis till July next year.

North Music Festival 2018 happens in Porto

The dates for the second edition of North Music Festival 2018 have already been set. The event is scheduled to happen 25 and 26 May, at the Customs Building in Porto. The full poster will be announced shortly.

Claus Porto celebrates 130th anniversary with book launch

Harp International Competition premieres with 94 applicants and 3 concerts

The first Harp International Competition that takes place in Portugal begins 24 November in Porto with the participation of 94 applicants from various continents and it includes 3 concerts. Organised by the Portuguese Harp Association, in the context of the Porto Music Conservatory, the competition comprises six categories and runs till Sunday, 26 November.
