Bea World Festival goes global in Porto

Representatives of events agencies all around the world were present at the Rivoli Theatre. This was the highlight of this festival that chose Porto as a host city of its 12nd edition, the first with a global context.

Videogame for children with cancer developed in Porto wins an International award

A videogame for children suffering from cancer developed in Porto wins international prize of $50,000 (nearly 42 thousand Euros), in the context of an international competition that awards excellence in technologies for cancer patients. Hope was born out of a partnership between the University of Porto and the Portuguese Oncology Institute (IPO) Francisco Gentil,Porto, and the Bright startup, in the health communication area.

Exhibit at the City Hall foyer celebrates 75 years of existence of Coliseu Porto

The exhibit "O Coliseu e a Cidade: 75 Anos de Histórias" [The Coliseu and the City: 75 years of stories] opens today at 6.30 pm at the Town Hall foyer. The display is inspired by the Modernist artist Piet Mondrian, and features Modernist elements that are part of the Coliseu Porto acquis, and from the Municipal Archive and the Portuguese Photography Centre collection, some made available to the public for the first time.

Seaport of Leixões holds record of movement of goods in October

In the first ten months of this year, 16.4 million tons of freight passed through the seaport of Leixões. The port structure, shows a 8.1% increase vs. the same period last year.
