20 years of PortoCartoon celebrated in S. Paulo from August till October

PortoCartoon 20th anniversary is the motto for an exhibition at the International Humour event of Piracicaba, S. Paulo, Brazil, at the end of August.

Twenty large-sized cartoons will be on show at the Rua do Porto, in Piracicaba, hence the street name will be PortoCartoon Street, from August to October.

The drawings represent the twenty awards regarding PortoCartoon-World Festival throughout the twenty years of the festival, whose inception was in 1989, with the presence of former President of the Portuguese Republic, Jorge Sampaio.

Also, there will be a proclamation of Porto cartoon Capital, held in 2008, by Brazilian artists as well as artists of different nationalities.

PortoCartoon and Salão de Piracicaba share a partnership that has been established in 2005.

Besides these initiatives, there will be another PortoCartoon exhibition during the 45th Salão de Piracicaba on 25th August, at the Centro Cultural do Engenho, and the display of 50 drawings on Tourism, PortoCartoon Theme for 2017.

In the city of Porto, and in the context of the above mentioned partnership, there is an exhibit on show at the Via Catarina Shopping on the city of Piracicaba, which opened on 22nd June and attended by Paulo Caruso, a renowned Brazilian comedian.
