Until January 8, discover the historic centre of Porto walking through a path of light and disclose the six installations created by Alumia project to mark 20 years of Porto Historic Centre acknowledge as World Heritage Site by UNESCO.

The six installations are located in Jardim da Cordoaria, Largo do Amor do Perdição, Clérigos, Largo dos Lóios, São Bento Station and Bairro da Sé, and were prepared by artists and collectives.

The first, entitled "Kaleidotree", installed in the Garden of the Cordoaria by Openfield, uses the kaleidoscope effect to transform the light and to create a fantasy environment.

The following is "Eclipse" in Largo Amor de Perdição, by FAHR 021.3. During the day, Eclipse takes advantage of the natural light, and at night it uses the diffuse, artificial light that guides the city.

"Every Wall is a Statement "by Tiago Casanova is based in the Clérigos and is inspired by the built heritage, which has since disappeared, and uses tile as an identity element of the city.

The fourth installation entitled "Start", by Diogo Aguiar Studio explores the urban scale and new frameworks built on the Largo Lóios. It is a simultaneously abstract and figurative piece.

Next to the São Bento Station we find "Wheels", by Isabel Barbas and the Cooperativa Árvore. "Wheels" refers to mouvement symbols, circulation and traveling associated with the São Bento train station.

The path ends in Bairro da Sé with "Elegia", by Garcia and Albuquerque, an installation that explores light through circular platforms that are placed in some of the neighbourhood gables.

Until January 8, 2017, there will be daily guided tours of the Historic Centre, starting at 5.20 pm in this Alumia path.
