Air France substantially increases operations in Porto Airport

Starting on 31 March, the French Flagship Airliner will strengthen its operation in Porto, two years after the successful launch of the connection Porto - Charles de Gaulle, the main French airport and one of the two most important European hubs, connecting to the whole world.

The airline company flying the flag of France will increase flights and frequencies to and from Porto. Departures will increase from 3 to 7 flights and up to two frequencies a day, between Porto and Paris, totalling 14 flights per week.

"The strengthening of available Seat Kilometres (ASK) that has been announced, between the Airports of Francisco Sá Carneiro and Paris-Charles de Gaulle, strongly reflects the commitment of the Group Air France-KLM with the dynamic and growing Portuguese market. This route [Porto-Paris] opened on 26 March 2017, with 3 flights a week, in both directions. It offers passengers departing from Francisco Sá Carneiro Airport extensive flight network of our group in the world and also enables travellers from all around the world to discover this magnificent Portuguese city", as stated Boris Darceaux, Chief-Executive of Air France-KLM for Spain and Portugal to Turisver platform.

It should be highlighted that Air France and KLM (Dutch-flag Company), jointly with the low-cost airline of the same group -Transavia and the transatlantic partner, the joint-venture Delta Air Lines, operated over weekly 290 flights this winter schedule, covering 22 routes to and from Portuguese Airports, namely Porto, Lisbon, Faro and Funchal.
