Are we leading a humdrum existence? A parable of human existence on stage at the Rivoli

Actor and stage Director, Miguel Loureiro approached the marvelous novella "The Beast in the Jungle" (1903), by British writer Henry James and translated by Marquerite Duras, in 1961 to speculate on human existence. The performance will be on stage at Rivoli, on 8 and 9 February, at 9 pm and 7 pm, respectively.

This play states the universal themes of loneliness, fate, love and death, in the shape of the parable of John Marcher's life and his peculiar destiny.

Miguel Loureiro is an actor and theatre director. He has a degree from the Lisbon Theatre and Film School. He has performed in several theatre plays, operas and performances, collaborating with artists such as Nuno Carinhas, Luís Miguel Cintra, Bruno Bravo and João Grosso, among others. He has directed plays for theatre companies and other institutions such as Casa Conveniente, Cão Solteiro, O Rumo do Fumo, Teatro da Comuna, Galeria Zé dos Bois and Mala Voadora.
