This exhibit marks the 40 years of Porto-Nagasaki twining and hands on a message of universal peace.

Visitors will have the privilege to admire the work by Américo Moura, Céu Costa, Abreu Pessegueiro, Júlia Pintão, Mami Hlguchi, Manuela Bronze and Vítor Espalda, as well as Hiroshi Yamaguchi, Kentaro Baba, Mayu Ando, Mitsuru Kunichide, Sanae Yamamoto, Sueto Sasada and Takeshi Eguchi.

The artwork on display is the emblem of both the Portuguese and Japanese cultures as well as the testimony of this long-lasting friendship, one that has officially began in 1978.

On show, there are also the art by the children of both cities; the young artists were asked to draw their respective city and the symbols from the twin city that are part of the city. The Moa Foundation and The Education Service of Porto have organised this initiative.

The exhibit was inaugurated by the Mayors of Porto and Nagasaki. The Ambassador of Japan to Portugal also attended the ceremony.
