For the first time in Portugal, and hosted by the city of Porto, Banksy's work will be on show at Porto Customs, from 19 January till 31 March.

The project "Dismaland" (2015) by the iconic British street artist Banksy will be in town for two and a half months. The exhibit features photographs of Banksy's "Dismaland" (2015), with photos by Barry Cawston.

Banksy stirred things up completely by creating a "bemusement park" as opposed to a place of an amusement park in the British coastal city of Weston-super-Mare near Bristol. This park was created as a Disneyland-satire. Over 40 artists participated in the project, including the Portuguese artist Wasted Rita. Dismaland was presented as an "art festival and amusement park", featuring "beginners' anarchy". It was open for five weeks only and with a limited number of entrances.

"This powerful exhibit intends to take audiences through the phenomenal work of an artist that has been using his art for more than 25 years to question the values of society", as stated by the organisation.

Now, Banksy's work is in Porto in photographic form to lead audiences in the exploring of the Banksy phenomenon.

The information provided on the exhibition's web site shows that "there will be 44 large dimension photos" and "pictures of the Dismaland (2015) project", as well as "other identifying artwork of the artist such as "Walled Off Hotel' (2017) or "Flower Thrower' (2005)".

Besides featuring the work of Barry Cawston, Banksy, Dismaland and Others, the exhibit will "include several artwork by young Portuguese artists", thus levering new names in the Street Art scene.

Barry Cawston is unofficially considered the "official photographer of Banksy's artwork, as the mysterious artist has often published his photos in his own website.

The exhibit will then travel to Lisbon and Spain.
