Brace yourselves: Classical Music is back in Aliados

Music lovers are presented with the usual Classical Music concerts that late summer brings in the city of Porto.

The "Concertos na Avenida" are back to the main outdoor concert hall in town - the Avenida dos Aliados - on 7 and 8 September, scheduled for 10 pm.

The event will premiere with the Baroque Orchestra from Casa da Música, with musical direction of acclaimed conductor and violinist Dmitry Sinkovsky. The repertoire honours Vivaldi, featuring "Four Seasons", one of the most popular written violin works ever.

The second concert evening holds the Viennese heritage music, an orchestral arrangement of Vaughan Williams on a very beautiful English tune or even musical environments related to the American west described by Aaron Copland, delivered by Porto Music Conservatory Symphonic Orchestra, with musical direction by Baldur Brönnimann.

These events are a gift to everyone in Porto as all the concerts are entrance free.
