On 15 September, one of the world’s most famous DJs returns to the city for a 'unique experience' in an outdoor venue. Organised by Desert Rain, the event is supported by the Porto City Council.

Part of the 'eXperience' series, where participants are challenged to an almost secret experience until the time of the event, Porto will host a live set from one of the most renowned names in dance music worldwide: Carl Cox.

The English DJ will present a 'hybrid live set', a format in which he plays tracks while accompanied by machines such as a Roland TR-8s and others.

Living in Australia, he has been DJing since the age of 15 and was a key figure in the UK rave scene. Along the way, he had renowned residencies, such as at Space Ibiza from 2001 to 2016 and on BBC Radio 1.

The producer's performance will take place in a city park, which will be revealed only a few days before the event.

According to Desert Rain, the secret of 'eXperience' is precisely that: 'bringing together, in an unlikely setting, the best names in electronic music, a conceptual touch of art, street food, and unusual décor'.

These sensory experiences may take place 'in remarkable and enigmatic locations, such as a medieval castle, a deserted beach, or even a museum'.

Tickets on sale

In Porto, it will be held in a park that, according to the organizer, 'was chosen for its landscape and architectural features, which provide a spacious natural amphitheatre ideal for enjoying the proposed show'.

At the same time, they aim to promote 'a space so important for the well-being and health of the city, taking the opportunity to remind and raise awareness among people about the importance of preserving' such spaces.

The 'Park eXperience' will take place on 15 September, from 04.00 p.m. to midnight, and tickets are already on sale - with prices ranging from €25 to €70.

In previous editions, this event has been held at the Castle of Santa Maria da Feira, the Leixões Cruise Terminal (in Matosinhos), Palácio da Bolsa, Ateneu Comercial do Porto, and the Fort of São João Baptista, in Vila do Conde.
