Porto Jazz Orchestra invites the Spanish maestro, composer, arranger and saxophonist Jesús Santandreu to play at Casa da Música, in Porto, on 9 February, at 11 pm.

Casa da Música will host an emblematic concert that will take you to the heart of the music in this special concert with a repertoire of its own, joining the orchestral colours of Porto Jazz Orchestra and Santandreu's talent.

The Spanish musician resides in Valencia, Spain and has studied in the most prestigious American institutions such as Berkley College of Music, establishing a solid academic career at the Middle Tennessee State University.

Currently, Santandreu is a teacher at the Conservatory in Valencia, where he runs an orchestra and teaches improvisation jazz at Sedajazz. His experience covers performances devoted to chamber music, big bands, and symphony and wind orchestras.

Porto Jazz Orchestra comprises about fifteen musicians and it was established in 2017 at Casa das Artes, carrying out a careful study of the big orchestras of the thirties and the forties of last century.
