Cinema Cycle honours Ingmar Bergman in Porto and in Lisbon

The year 2018 marks one century after the birth of one of the greatest film makers of the twentieth century. Ingmar Bergman was born on 14th July 1918, in Uppsala, in Sweden and passed away on 30th July in the Swedish island of Fårö.

Leopardo Filmes and Medeia Filmes are preparing an homage to the Swedish director to celebrate his life, work and legacy.

This tribute will happen from 11th October till 15th November 2018 both at Campo Alegre Theatre, in Porto and Espaço Nimas, in Lisbon.

Besides Bergman's films, namely "Wild Strawberries", "The silence, "Through a Glass Darkly", and "Persona", films which were shot in the remote island of Fårö and also other films such as "Hour of the Wolf", "Shame" and "The Passion of Anna".

The tribute programme also includes the premiere of the documentary films "Bergman - a Year in a Life", by Jane Magnusson (distributed by Leopardo Filmes), and "Searching for Ingmar Bergman", by Margarethe von Trotta (distributed by Outsider Films).
