Digital Platform connects companies and universities

The Consortium UNorte.pt, comprised by the Universities of Minho and Trás-os-Montes e Alto Douro, has launched a digital platform to bring closer companies and the academia.

This project, titled Balcão UNorte.pt, aggregates and combines information on the universities' skills, services and technologies with the Research, Development and Innovation challenges facing both national and international companies.

As stated at the U. Porto News site, this digital platform "pioneer in Portugal" was designed to promote partnerships between companies and the research carried out in over 85 investigation centres, and the main goal being matching supply and demand regarding research and innovation in the business market".

With Balcão UNorte.pt, companies can "know the general skills, potential services and technologies within research centres in each of these universities", and thus "support products and services in the global market".
