The Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Porto (FBAUP) organised an exhibition of illustrations dedicated to the wolf, themed "Covil" [lair].
About 53 illustrations inspired on the wolf are on show at the Gallery of the Museum of the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Porto, from 7 to 11 January.

This exhibit is the result of the course unit on illustration at the said faculty, lectured by Luís Mendonça. As such, audiences will be provided the excellent opportunity to savour the work of former and current students of FBAUP of different nationalities, including Portugal, Italy, France, Bosnia, Spain, Germany, Greece, Check Republic and The Netherlands.

The starting point of this illustration display is the willingness to "raise social awareness of the scientific and artistic culture, the oral and literary tradition, and the collective and individual imagination" related to one of the world's best-known and most-researched animals, compared to other wildlife species, the wolf.

These 53 illustrations are part of the publication "Two thousand and Nineteen Tips Howling-shaped" with aphorisms by Eugénio Roda.

Opening hours:

Monday to Friday: from 10 am till 1 pm and from 2 pm till 6 pm, at the Gallery of the Faculty Museum, at the FBAUP - Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Porto.

Entrance is free.
