The DPic project competition - Architecture, Art and Image - is an international Drawing and Photography competition aimed at 1st, 2nd and 3rd Cycle students or young researchers within any UP higher education institution and/or researcher, in Europe and in the World.

Currently, the second edition of the International Drawing and Photography Competition (DPIc) is ongoing, under the theme "Space and Identity in U. Porto Colleges: Visual Spaces of Change (VSC)". Target audiences are all U. Porto students and researchers. Work submission deadline is 31 July 2019.

The main theme of the contest is the idea of Utopia and Visual Spaces of Change (VSC), focusing on the spaces and identity of the 14 Faculties of U. Porto.

The competition is organized by the research group CCRE (FAUP) integrated in the R & D centre of FAUP (CEAU) and AEFAUP, jointly with all UP Student Associations.

The main goal of such competition is to encourage the poetic and critic view of spaces and also boost the understanding of image as a method and means of representation, capable of shifting boundaries and hence furthering novel ways of understanding and interacting with various spaces in the fields of Architecture, City and Territory, in the context of a utopian vision of such spaces.
