Fair weather brings Flea Market to Porto in the open

The second-hand goods monthly market, which is held in several places in Porto for ten years now, takes place outdoors in Porto on 17 November.

The favourable weather forecast for this week will take Flea Market to the parking lot of Campo Alegre, between 1 pm and 6 pm.

This event is inspired by the Barcelona Flea Market, established in 2007 with the aim of reviving traditional markets, from the USA to Northern Europe.

Flea Market Portugal was brought to the city of Porto by the S.P.O.T., and its first appearances were at the Maus Hábitos, every Saturday afternoon.

Eventually, the market became a "travelling event", looking for new places and new topics each month. This is a lively and bustling market with stalls full of mostly second-hand clothing, hats, shoes and bags, and lots of antiques.

The market also offers visitors music by invited Djs, a parallel programming, book launches, exhibit openings or film screenings.
