Lorde headed the NOS Primavera Sound Festival 2018 Porto and stated that she experienced a unique and emotional welcoming in the city. The 21 year-old New Zealander, Ella Yelich-O'Connor artistically known as Lorde said she was "in spiritual sync" with the audience through her music, making this a special event in the country.

The City Park is the venue of the Nos Primavera Sound Porto and although the forecast calls for scattered rain, from spitting, to drizzling and raining for the coming days, festival goers showed they will be there, "rain or shine."

Lorde, who hit stardom with "Royals", didn't visit Portugal since 2004 and now, for the first time in Porto, she confessed to having immediately connected with the city, with the passionate audience and even with the instable weather, which conferred an unreal, almost dream-like atmosphere on the show.

Lorde played for audiences of all ages and nationalities, who gathered at the City Park to enjoy real music and captivating sonorities, including Father John Misty, Moullinex, Tyler, The Creator, and Jamie XX.

Novelty this year is the "Porto. For Talent" stall, set up by the municipality of Porto, namely Invest Porto. It is a mix and match of music and talent aimed at identifying, attracting, and retaining talents and highly skilled workforce for the city and for the metropolitan area.

According to Joana Fins Faria, Invest Porto Chief Talent Officer, the main goal of this initiative is to challenge festival goers to acknowledge Porto "as a place to work, live and land".

This was Day 1 of Nos Primavera Sound, the festival that welcomes "happy people".
