New season 2017 at Palácio do Bolhão

The Palácio do Bolhão programme for the coming Season includes major new productions and classic revivals. The Fairy Oriana, The Lusiads, a Portuguese epic poem by Luís Vaz de Camões (sometimes anglicized as "Camoens"), a puppet workshop with Tommy Luther, a creative laboratory with António Júlio, and a theatre workshop themed "Create Your Superhero!" for 10-14 year-olds.

In February, The Fairy Oriana, emblematic text of Portuguese children's literature, by Sophia de Mello Breyner features puppet shows and shadow theatre. 

Also in February, the Palácio do Bolhão hosts one of the masters of puppet projects, Tommy Luther, who will teach an intensive three-day workshop and will provide participants the opportunity to see how puppets actually work.

Camões and his epic poem go on stage in March, revealing the mind work of Portuguese language greatest poet.

April will be targeted to the youngest with Lab Creation by António Júlio and the new theatre workshop "Create your Superhero!"

Visits to the Palácio are available. The guided tour is available in Portuguese, French and in a near future in English.
