The Fundação de Serralves will play host to the event "O Museu como Performance" ["The Museum as Performance", free translation], on 8 and 9 September.

This is the fourth time that the Fundação de Serralves gears the dissemination of new expressions regarding performing arts.

Next weekend, 19 performances will have a stage at the museum galleries, the house, the library, and the Serralves auditorium.

This year's programming includes 12 works of artists, national and foreign, addressing areas such as dance, music, storytelling, visual and sound performances.

Fatima Al Qadiri, DJ/producer and composer, is one of the highlights of the programme.
The visual artist is one of the most reputed and relevant voices of the current electronic music scene. Shaneera, her last EP, fleshes out gender performativity in the Persian Gulf.

This performance will take to the stage on Sunday, at 10.30 pm, at the Serralves Auditorium.

Worth mentioning Foxy Moron, alias of Hannah Catherine Jones, artist, researcher and founder of Peckham Chamber Orchestra.

This artist will feature two performances in Serralves; one linked to archaic artistic modalities and science fiction patterns to reflect upon the legacy of slavery and colonialism, in the path to Afrofuturism.

Also, Owed to Suspension will perform on Saturday, at 8.30 pm and Owed to White Noise, on Sunday, at 4.30 pm at the Serralves Auditorium.
