Pinning Porto and the Northern Region on the world Map of Talent

The Talent Map of Porto and North Region of Portugal shows the size of the regional talent pools in the following key areas: diversification of the economy towards digital transformation, human capital and skills, vocational and university training designed at the level of Porto macro-region, which comprises the following district capitals in mainland Portugal, including Aveiro, Braga, Coimbra, Viana do Castelo, Vila Real and Viseu.

This macro-region educated about 44.546 graduates in 2015, more than 47% of the national total.

This innovative study was carried out by Porto City Hall, jointly with Talent Portugal Platform, and it has allowed mapping premier talent in Porto and the northern region of the country.

The formal presentation took place in Palácio de Cristal in the context of the conference "Map of Talent - Porto Norte"

This survey highlighted the needs of the national and international companies set up or wishing to set up in Porto and in the corresponding macro-region and focus on skills that are in greatest demand, namely finance, engineering, information technology and languages.

This study also aims to promote talent attractiveness and sustainability, regarding local and international companies, as well as adequate human resources.
