Porto hosts Bollywood feature film production today and tomorrow

The city of Porto and Bridge Luís I host the newest Bollywood feature film production, on 31 October and on 2 November.

Produced by the company All Around the Globe - headquartered in Lisbon but established in Mumbai by Dhimant Radia, an Indian national resident in Portugal for more than 17 years.

The film is sponsored by Porto City Hall via Porto Film Commission, whose main goal is to encourage creativity by providing suitable conditions for audiovisual activities.

The historic centre and World Heritage in Porto are thus selected as the perfect filming location for Bollywood production.

Bollywood, the film industry based in the city of Mumbai (formerly Bombay), is the combination of "Bombay" and "Hollywood", which is the world's largest film producer, representing 43% of Indian cinema net box office revenue, surpassing by far Hollywood's claim as world film capital.

The new feature film has also incorporated several Portuguese technical teams and the world premiere is scheduled for March 2019.
