Porto City Hall made its mark at ChangeNOW Summit - International Summit for Change, which took place in Paris, on 28 and 29 September.

Vice President and Councillor for Innovation and Environment, Filipe Araújo, presented the municipal strategy on climate change adaptation.

This was an opportunity for entrepreneurs and leaders to meet and network, thinking of positive impact actions, under the motto "Don't think, Act".

The city of Porto has been straightforward in addressing environmental issues, thinking the right solutions for the city, namely the investment in the urban electric fleet (buses and municipal fleet), the nature-based solutions investment regarding Porto's native urban forests and the rehabilitation of the Ribeira da Asprela, a green space for citizen's full enjoyment, previously prepared to resist heavy rains, under the retention pond concept and prevention of flood risks upstream.

The programme included a job fair, a film festival, a Sustainable Fashion event, a Youth Summit and many other activities.
