"10000 anos depois entre Vénus e Marte" [10000 years later between Venus and Mars] is the title of the latest exhibition on display at Porto Municipal Gallery. The exhibit opened last weekend and it includes the work of artists from different generations and features, for the first time, a number of new acquisitions from the Collection António Cachola.

This is the fourth exhibition of the Municipal Gallery, and a "fantastic work" by the curator João Laia, as referred by Mayor of Porto, Rui Moreira, during the opening, which he attended together with collector António Cachola.

Following the opening session, open to the general public, the gathering of part of Cachola's collection in the city of Porto was also marked with a celebration and performances at Passos Manuel, Saturday evening, where contemporary art was also celebrated downtown Porto.

This display is supplemented by a parallel programme and by an educational service as well.

In this context, an open class will be held at the Municipal Gallery, on 13 December with Mauro Cerqueira, starting at 4 pm.

Participation is free, but prior registration is required via phone number 226 081 063 or galeriamunicipal@cm-porto.pt

The exhibition "10000 anos depois entre Vénus e Marte" is free entry and it will be on view until 18 February 2018.

Timetable:

- From Tuesday to Saturday, between 10 am and 6 pm

- Sundays, between 2 pm and 6 pm

The exhibition closes on Sundays and Public Holidays.
