The Mue Marionnettes was created as a professional company in 2013, and its fundamental mission is to create short versions of shows that are everything but short. There is intimacy, tenderness, intensity. This show is held in the context of fimp'18 at Foyer Rivoli, on 13 October, at 10.15 pm. It repeats on 14 October at Jardim Basílio Teles, Matosinhos, at 11 am and midday.

The stage features two string puppets, a man and a woman. A puppeteer and a cellist. Valerio Point takes his inspiration from Egon Schiele's paintings to materialise the two beings and the live music creates a vibrant and intense atmosphere for 15 intense minutes, as intense as a lovers' embrace should be.

The last performance is at Foyer Campo Alegre, at 10.15 pm.

The 29th edition of fimp's programming includes topics as the passing of time, and its effect on human beings and the community.
"Objects and animated instruments take a leading role as representatives of the Puppet Theatre and other languages", states Igor Gandra, artistic director of the International Puppet Festival in Porto.

FIMP 2018 will both celebrate the future and revisit the past, showcasing traditional techniques of this ancient art", as stated by artistic director Igor Gandra.

Also, the winner of the 3rd edition of the Bolsa de Criação Isabel Alves Costa, a joint initiative of FIMP, Teatro Municipal do Porto and Comédias do Minho, will be announced.

This year's edition presents a programme focused on contemporary issues and targets a wider audience. It should be highlighted that due to the support by Porto City Hall, the entire FIMP is now economically viable, as state subsidies have been cancelled.
