The public will be able to hear the roar of engines and turbines of Red Bull's aircraft planes in the temporary runway in Queimódromo during the three-day-long competition: 1, 2 and 3 September.

Aficionados will get to visit the operational base of the race where the 14 Master Category aeroplanes take off and land, like in the three previous editions of the race.

The runway is 500 meters long and 25 meters wide, and there is a hangar near the runway for aircraft maintenance, as of 31 August just after a short flight from Vilar da Luz Aerodrome, in Maia.

The runway in Parque da Cidade was totally resurfaced and painted by municipal company Gestão e Obras do Porto with an estimated total cost of two hundred thousand euros.

In addition to the Race Village, Queimódromo will host an area to offer brand integrating services, for example, a Portuguese air carrier simulator, a restaurant area and Red Bull Air Race's official merchandising. Also planned is the set-up of a giant screen.

The area will allow public access starting Friday, Saturday and Sunday between 9.30 am and 6.30 pm. The only entrance to the place is from Parque da Cidade.

The three days will afford an excellent view of the race planes as well as a closer contact with the pilots and the teams.

The organization announced an autograph session with the entire Red Bull Air Race players, at 5.30 pm on 1 September . The signing session will repeat one last time Monday, 3 September, at 11 am.

Worth highlighting that the award ceremony of the Portuguese round of Red Bull Air Race is scheduled for 3 September, at 3.55 pm in Queimódromo.
