Porto City Hall adopted unanimously on 18th September grant support to artistic creation at international level, through the Shuttle Programme.
This form of support started April last year and it will be a permanent call till next December.

The fundamental goal of this grant is to promote the culture of Porto and the work of artists, authors and cultural agents of the city abroad.

Guilherme Blanc, Pedro Tudela and Vânia Rodrigues are part of the jury that has decided to support the following projects: "Água Forte" by Mónica Baptista, "Jardim Atlântico" by Rita Castro Neves, and "Papercutz" by Bruno Pinto.

This resolution was already approved by the City Council. The Shuttle programme includes the total budget of 30 000 euros, with support grants worth 1 500 and 7 500 euros.

So far, the Shuttle Programme has supported six artistic projects; four projects in the areas of Visual Arts and Curatorship, one project regarding Performance and Musical Composition, and one project on Translation and Literary Creation and Essay Writing.

It is worth highlighting that this Programme also supports projects in the Performing Arts area.
Until the end of the year, the jury is set to examine more applications and if the conditions are met, further allocation of support, in the context of the Shuttle programme.

Internationalisation Projects must anticipate their completion till March 2019, and applications must be sent to dmcc@cm-porto.pt

The Shuttle poster was selected for the Golden Bee Biennale of Graphic Design, in Moscow. Thus, it will be included in the third edition of the Shenzhen International Poster Festival, in China.
