Take a hike to S. Lázaro Garden and enjoy a beautiful summer garden

If you spend some time exploring the city's green spaces you can see yourself in front of one of the city's top spot garden, the S. Lázaro Garden.

Every year, through São João, the flowerbeds enveloping the pond and the garden of S. Lázaro are decorated with flowers and new plants. Pelargoniums and basil pots create the best urban scenario, lending the spot the best scent and colour for this summer.

This initiative was held in the scope of the municipal plan for the seasonal vegetation renovation. This past winter, the garden was decorated with tulips.

This way, Porto City Hall propels the knowledge on the seasonal plants and flowers in the oldest municipal garden of Porto.

The Marques de Oliveira Garden, more commonly known as São Lázaro Garden was inaugurated in 1834, surrounded by four railings, of romantic design. It is most appreciated by its statues and fountains, the bandstand, the trees and the flowerbeds.

The garden is located near the Municipal Public Library of Porto.
