The Wine Show is a documentary that celebrates all things wine, in the most important wine regions all over the world. From their villa HQ in the Italian hills, the presenters will head to Portugal as their next third season HQ.

Besides the actors Matthew Goode and Matthew Rhys, who star in the show, two TV presenters, experts in wine, Amelia Singer and Joe Fattorini, together with the special guest Jancis Robinson, wine critic of the Financial Times, will let you in Portugal's most stunning wine country, the Douro.

The project was officially announced during the prize-giving ceremony of the Revista de Vinhos, which was held on 1 February at Porto Customs Building.

The Wine Show features short films on a variety of wine related topics, a TV show with a large television audience and "it is a great opportunity the fact that it will be hosted in Portugal", says Nuno Pires.

Amelia Singer, recently shortlisted for the IWSC Wine Communicator of the Year Award, will reveal interesting facts about the Douro region. The TV presenter had already stated that "there's more to do with Port than drink it at Christmas", on Series 1, Episode 9 of The Wine Show.

"At the moment, the project is in a startup phase. We will establish the headquarters, from which we will travel the country, to vineyards and meet the producers; also learn about the culture of the country, its traditions and monuments", explained Nuno Pires, of the Revista de Vinhos.

The Wine Show not only tells the story of the country and wine regions, but also addresses different topics, namely immigration, climate change or even comedy.
