The Puppet Theatre of Porto presents the tale "Cinderella", in the context of the programme "Foco Famílias", on 15 and 16 December, at 11 am, at Campo Alegre Café-Teatro.

Beware: this is not Perrault or Grimm's Cinderella, but rather an anachronistic version that includes characters of different fairy tales. As such, The Evil Witch that hates happy endings or the Big Bad Wolf disguised as a Police officer, guarding the roads in the forest, jump into the tale as well as the Seven Dwarfs, who are called in to save Cinderella from certain death, experts as they are when it comes to poisoned damsels.

It does not end here! Brace yourselves as the Fairy Godmother will enter a wrestling combat to settle the square with the Evil witch.

Worry not, Happy ending lovers, as Cinderella marries her Prince and they have lots of children and were happy ever after!

Porto Puppet Theatre was established in 1988, and it is based in an unconventional approach of the puppet art, mixing poetic language and images with modern techniques, with the purpose of finding new ways of working puppets on stage.

The Company was established in the city of Porto, where it is widely acknowledged, and also devotes to foreign and domestic itinerancies.
