The New Year's Concert at Coliseu Porto Ageas presents Strauss, Nicolai and Schostakovich masterworks

Now that a New Year is about to unfold, embrace 2019 with happiness, joy and contentment.
Following the long standing tradition of New Year's Concert in Vienna, Strauss, Nicolai and Schostakovich's masterworks will be heard at Coliseu Porto Ageas on 5 January, at 9.30 pm. 

Lisbon Metropolitan Orchestra takes to the stage the waltzes, polkas and the passion of Nicolai, Schostakovich and Strauss, with Russian maestro Evgeny Bushkov conducting.

Special guest Carl Otto Nicolai will perform The Merry Wives of Windsor, an opera in three acts to a German libretto by Salomon Hermann Mosenthal based on the play 'The Merry Wives of Windsor' by William Shakespeare.

This concert will delight the audiences at Coliseu Porto Ageas, in partnership with Santa Casa da Misericórdia do Porto, delivering everyone a New Year's greeting in the spirit of hope, friendship and peace.
