Transport availability from dusk till dawn for New Year

Public transport is the go for New Year's Eve. Take the metro or the bus to head to downtown Porto. If you are planning to go to the city make a plan and arrive early as very large crowds are expected to travel to the city.

This New Year's Eve, park your car at 95 cents per 12 hours in the parking spaces available in the city (valid rate from noon on December 31 to noon on January 1, 2017) and travel to the city centre by Metro or by bus. There will be extra metro, train and bus services overnight.

In the metro network, the main lines, A, B, C and F and D-line (which crosses the Aliados) will operate at 100 percent capacity and, at dawn, only line E (airport) will not be operating.

During the night, bus services will reinforce the regular night bus lines in Porto's surrounding (1M, 3M, 4M, 5M, 7M, 8M, 11M, 12M and 13M) from 9:00 pm to 5:30 am.

Big crowds are expected in the city of Porto where people will take to the streets with drinks in hand to welcome 2017.
