U.Porto launches new edition of Start-up School

UPTEC, the Science and Technology Park in Porto, launches the 10th edition of the start-up's School. Applications are open till 23 September. This programme is aimed at all graduate entrepreneurs wishing to take new ideas and ways of doing business into the market.

This acceleration programme should include business ideas linked to arts, sciences or technologies. The course lasts three months and it focus on issues such as business models, market and strategy, intellectual property, finance, funding and pitch presentation.

By the end of the acceleration programme, teams will have the opportunity to participate in workshops, develop business cases, schedule meetings with strategic partners and senior entrepreneurs, get individualised monitoring provided by UPTEC's mentors and also present a project at a public event.

The selected projects developing technologies in the telecommunications area will be supported by Vodafone Power Lab by not paying the Start-up's School registration fee and will have access to the incubation space as well.

Besides, participants will have the opportunity to networking with partners and investors.
