“Vizinhanças” proposes a journey around the world with a series of propositions, with free access, during the weekends of August. It animates parks, gardens, and lakes, encompassing the city’s seven parishes and unions. It has taken place last weekend at Jardim do Passeio Alegre (Aldoar, Foz do Douro, and Nevogilde) and at Parque do Covelo (Paranhos).

The municipal programme includes traditional games, teqball matches, Origami workshops and, among many other activities, a concert by singer-songwriter Bia Maria. It will continue next weekend at Parque de São Roque (Saturday the 12th) and Jardim de Sarah Afonso (Sunday the 13th), continuing on to Jardim de Paulo Vallada (19th of August), Jardim do Cálem (20th of August) and Jardim de São Lázaro (26th of August), always happening from 10 am until 8 pm, with proposals for all tastes.

Porto City Hall, through the municipal company Ágora, renovates the invitation to all neighbours (from right next door, close or even from further away) for entire days of family-oriented activities. In the programme, we highlight the special concerts by Sensible Soccers, Batida (in a DJ Set format) and Ana Lua Caiano, a performance by Rui Paixão and the participation of several other local associations in the travelling animation throughout the afternoon.

Of all the new features of this edition, emphasis goes towards the partnership with the association Pedalar sem Idade Porto, which allow all who wish to try a bike tour, with no age or physical restrictions to stop it, and the collaboration with Rádio YéYé, responsible for the (good) music in the premisses during each moment.
