The Pavilhão da Água (water Pavilion) will undergo remodeling works begining next week to improve the building's infrastructure. The "new" Water Pavilion will have a completely renovated concept.

The currently available non guided tour will be replaced by a conceptually organized guided tour, comprising interactive experiences themed over water resources, environment and science and the urban water cycle emphasising the role of the municipal company  Águas do Porto.

Designed for the Expo '98 and with and scheduled to last three months, it has been operating for 14 years. Every year, about 450,000 people, both tourists and students, visit the Pavilion.

While the construction works are under way, (for a period still to be announced), a traveling exhibition will take the magic of transforming water into schools in the metropolitan area of Porto.
