Welcome to 39th Fantasporto at Rivoli

Fantasporto - International Film Festival of Porto kicks off at Rivoli on 19th February and this year's line-up features "the best of film production of the world", be it the screening of the latest releases or cult classics.

For 13 days, cinema-goers will have the opportunity to discover films from Portugal, USA/Georgia, Australia, UK, South Korea, China, United Arab Emirates, Spain, Canada and France.

The Festival aims to highlight works of the past, so tributes to invaluable classics are in order, namely the restored version of the classic movie "Easy Rider", by Dennis Hopper, which was released 50 years ago.

The showcasing of cult classics also include "A Clockwork Orange" and "The Shinning", to pay homage to Director Stanley Kubrick, and "Alien" by Ridley Scott, which was released 40 years ago.

In total, circa 200 films are part of the festival programming, of which 36 are film premieres. The Festival officially closes on 3rd March.
