World-class dance by the Ballet of the Ópera de Lyon

The Ballet of the Ópera de Lyon debuts the contemporary dance choreographies, Dance + Set and Reset/Reset, at the Grand Auditorium of Rivoli, from 16 to 17 February, at 7 pm and 5 pm, respectively.

The work of the post-modernists choreographers Lucinda Childs and Trisha Brown comes under the scope of Judson Church, framed in minimalist dancing.

Dance, by Lucinda Childs, is a hypnotic and repetitive performance with the participation of plastic artist Sol Lewitt. This performance includes the projection of a film in a translucent screen set on stage, thus providing a virtual surrogate for each dancer.

Trisha Brown, who passed away in 2017, has created Set and Reset together with painter Robert Rauschenberg and composer Laurie Anderson, and discuss the approach taken to achieve the visions of liberty, of movement construction and deconstruction.
