August will see the the centennial celebrations of TNSJ, which will be ongoing until March 2021. The programming include shows and performances hosted at other venues that are run by TNSJ, namely the Teatro Carlos Alberto (TeCA) and the Mosteiro de São Bento da Vitória. The Invicta will be the stage of the sport of tennis between 12th and 19th July as national tennis players will compete for the absolute titles 2020 in the restored courts at the Monte Aventino Sports Complex. Players such as Pedro Sousa, 110 in the world ranking, Frederico Silva, 193 in the ATP Tennis and also Maria João Koehler, six times champion for women's competitions are the top players to compete in Porto.

The Theatre Campo Alegre screens the latest film by acclaimed Canadian director Atom Egoyan: Guest of Honour. This drama by Atom Egoyan, which debuted at the Venice Festival in 2019, was nominated for an Oscar.

The initiative "Há Filmes na Baixa" features a selection of some of the most iconic films of the latest doclisboa edition, in collaboration with Porto/Post/Doc. All sessions are screened at 7pm, from 9th to 18th July.

For the first time, the Porto Tourism Association (ATP) and Tourism of Porto and Northern Portugal (TPNP) launched a joint campaign with the goal of promoting Porto, Douro, Minho and Trás-os-Montes, as memorable tourism destinations in the country.
