Porto City Hall has presented a plan to boost a new shopping experience in town, under the recovery of the economy, amid the ongoing pandemic. The Municipality of Porto wants to win back public spaces, and it will do so through footpaths, bicycle paths and soft transports modes.

Porto designs Police Stations that serve the community

Seven years after closure of the Police Station in Cedofeita, the day 2nd June 2020 marks the inauguration of the new police facilities in the same area in Porto. In 2013, Mayor of Porto Rui Moreira already had singled this location in Cedofeita as the best place to lodge the precinct building and keeping law enforcement - PSP - and the community closer.

Iberia, the national Spanish airliner, includes Porto Airport in its flight recovery operation

Iberia, the national Spanish airliner, will gradually resume its short- and medium-haul flights, starting 1st July and Porto Airport is one of the first chosen destinations. The recovery plan includes Francisco Sá Carneiro Airport and passengers will have flexibility changes regarding flights.

Porto Municipal Theatre announced the selected artistic research projects under the "Reclaiming Time" programme

There are 11 artistic projects selected by the "Reclaiming Time - Artistic Research and Investigation", the initiative launched by Porto Municipal Theatre with the goal of boosting research work by artists residing or working in the parish of Porto, from different artistic fields.

Transavia resumes first flights to Porto Airport starting 15th June

Transavia France, the low cost airliner of the Air France/KLM Group will include Porto Airport in its recovery route plans, starting 15th June. All sanitation measures will be put in place.

Electric scooters are set to go and ride through Porto, starting 1st June

As of this morning, electric scooters are set and ready to ride through Porto. The Smart Mobility Technology came into force today. Users can download the apps through the AppStore or Google Play, and start using "Bird - be free, enjoy the ride", "Circ - enjoy the ride" and "Hive - scooters and bikes", the operators that were granted the licences to share riding scooters and bicycles on Porto public roads.
