The 21st edition of the Porto Open, and for the first time in the history of this competition, three Portuguese tennis players qualified for the singles final. Gastão Elias was the winner on 4th October, as Francisca Jorge lost to the Spanish tennis player Georgina Garcia-Perez.

Laboratory from Porto detects antibodies able to neutralize the SARS-CoV-2

FairJourney Biologics, a Biotechnological company from Porto has just announced it has detected 15 antibodies with a potential to treat patients infected with the SARS-CoV-2 virus and to protect the most vulnerable segments of the population. This finding was jointly accomplished with its counterpart IONTAS, a laboratory headquartered in Cambridge, which was recently acquired by Porto, and a world leader in identifying and manufacturing antibodies.

Rivoli hosts the Eurovision philosophical Song Contest this weekend

The Eurovision philosophical Song will now be held in Porto, on 2nd and 3rd October, at the Rivoli. Starting this first weekend of October, the programme "Days with Energy" is no longer held outdoors and will offer four indoor venues within the municipal equipment, every Saturday morning, with free classes of Pilates, Yoga and Tai chi. Participation is free, but the number of participants varies according to the venue. Between 9am and 9.30am choose the activity that suits you best.
