The Primavera Sound Festival is back in town next June

Musicians Lorde, A$AP Rocky and Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds will headline the 7th edition of NOS Primavera Sound Festival. The 7th edition of the music festival will take place from 7 to 9 June in the City Park (Parque da Cidade), and artists such as The War on Drugs, Arca, Father John Misty, Mogwai, Jamie XX, Fever Ray, Tyler, The Creator, Vince Staples and Thundercat will be on stage.

Urban Market marks anniversary with two editions at Hard Club

Portugal Lovers celebrates its 6th anniversary with two editions of Urban Market, jointly with Hard Club and with the support of Porto city Hall. The market will run from 9 to 11 February and from 23 to 25 February. Entrance is free and the event takes place between 11 am and 7 pm.

Festival Vivarium challenges us to ask the place of Humankind in the "digital age"

Fantasporto celebrates 38 years and achieves international recognition

The Fantasporto has been celebrating the film industry for the past 38 years. This year, the "Fantas" honours the world of cinema, under the motto "Grande Cinema do Mundo" [World Film Industry]. This years'edition will kick-off on 20 February and it will debate ethics, honour Lauro António and bring to the Rivoli a selection of almost 120 films from more than 60 countries.

The exhibit "Anuário" gathers curators to celebrate artistic activity in Porto

The "Anuário" [yearbook] takes as its starting point the intention to document and to examine artistic activity in Porto for a year. The exhibit constitutes one of the pillars for municipal platform PLÁKA, focused on contemporary art production in Porto. Serralves showcases retrospective work from Álvaro Lapa

The exhibit "Álvaro Lapa: No tempo todo" [Álvaro Lapa: All of Time], which gathers the most thorough retrospective work of the artist (Évora, 1939 - Porto, 2006) ever presented, opens on 8 February at the Serralves Museum. Self-taught artist and writer, Lapa first studied Law and a couple of years later he pursues studies in Philosophy, travelling to Paris where he engages with surrealism artists.
