Electric vehicles fleet strengthen Porto city Hall environmental strategy

Porto City Hall has just received 12 new electric vehicles for the maintenance of green spaces in the city, while awaiting the delivery of two small road sweepers, electrically powered as well. This is the crowning moment of the application process to the Environmental Fund, an important support to the replacement of the municipalities' urban car pool by electric vehicles.

Bolhão's Temporary Market is all set to house merchants

The Temporary Market of Bolhão is ready to house traders as the works were concluded on schedule. The new structure includes a 5,000 square meters in Shopping Centre La Vie. It provides traders the necessary standard of comfort and hygiene as well as the operational conditions to run their businesses, which the 100 year-old market cannot provide, at this point in time.

Pedestrian Orienteering Race gathers European Athletes in Porto

As 22 September draws closer, the 6th Edition of the Pedestrian Orienteering Race, under the European City Race Tour, is expected to feature athletes from 20 countries, including Brazil, Russia, Norway, United States of America, New Zealand or Israel. This competition is also meant for beginners with no experience in this type of sport, ranging all ages and able to explore the town in a sportingly manner.

Porto plays host to 1st Edition of BEAST from 21 to 24 September

Porto hosts the debut of BEAST - International Film Festival, between 21 and 24 September. The opening session is scheduled for 21 September at 9.30 pm in Rivoli, with the national premiere of "All These Sleepless Nights", by Michal Marczak, a cinematographic work ranging from fiction to documentary, portraying the life of two young art students through Warsaw's night.
