Francisco Sá Carneiro Airport considered the best in Portugal

After the Airport Council International (ACI) distinguished the Francisco Sá Carneiro Airport as one of the best in the world, it has now been considered the best in Portugal, following an analysis by AirHelp.

According to an analysis carried out by AirHelp (a company that advocates air passengers' rights) – based on data from 240 airports in 70 countries, collected on arrivals and departures between 1 May 2023 and 30 April 2024, Porto's airport obtained an overall score of 7.60, achieving 7.30 in punctuality, 8.20 in customer approval and 7.90 in the quality of its food and shop area.

According to the Publituris, newspaper which quotes the analysis carried out, the performance of the Francisco Sá Carneiro Airport has improved, since last year it had an overall score of 7.52.

The Faro Airport comes second in the national ranking, with an overall score of 7.27. Lisbon's Humberto Delgado Airport, on the other hand, had an overall score of 6.59.

Last year, AirHelp also placed the Francisco Sá Carneiro Airport among the best in Europe.

In 2023, Porto's airport exceeded 15 million passengers.
