"Eating a la Porto", "À Moda do Porto" in Portuguese, won third place in the Local Countries Category. The book, coordinated by Chef Hélio Loureiro and endorsed by Livraria Almedina and Porto City Hall, includes many traditional recipes and dishes of Porto, sprinkled with history and trivia on the city, taking you on a journey through the smells and flavours of Porto.

Food culture is top of mind globally, with local gastronomy at the heart of food issues.
This year's Gourmand registered 215 countries and regions in the competition, comprising about 100 categories for Food.

The book was published in April 2017 and reached the finalists category of the Gourmand World Cookbook Awards, viewed as the Oscars of Food content.

Annually, the Gourmand Award is an excellent networking opportunity to engage in the world of gastronomy and books.

Founded in 1995 by Edouard Cointreau, the Gourmand World Cookbook Awards honour the best food and wine books, both printed and digital.
This is the only international competition that includes all the food culture content. It is open to all languages and comprises numerous categories.
