Porto Planetarium invites to a Phantom hunt at the Centre for Live Science of Porto University on Saturdays and holidays, starting at 4.30 pm.

The Science Centre of Porto University screens a full dome film session titled "The Phantom of the Universe". The purpose is to display something we cannot see, feel or touch, that neither emits nor reflects light, but it is everywhere: the dark matter.

Produced by the CERN Consortium or the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, this film taps into history, the current level of knowledge and several experiences in order to identify what the matter is made of, totalling 85% of the entire matter in the universe.

The original English version features actress Tilda Swinton (Best Actress Academy Award in 2008), sound effects by Skywalker Sound (Lucasfilm Ltd), and the studio in charge of the lightsabres in the Star Wars saga. Carey Ann Strelecki, one of the main consultants for the documentary "An Inconvenient Truth" (Academy Award-winning documentary in 2007) was in charge of the script and production.

Porto Planetarium- Living Science Centre is a science centre of Porto University, whose main goal is promoting astronomy trough scientific research.
