A journey through Porto, the city where Harry Potter was born

Porto features "Harry Potter: the Journey" on 31 July. Throughout the entire day, the Invicta will be filled with potions, spells and wizards brought to life from the magic land of Harry Potter's saga books.

The goal is to give Harry Potter's fans a magical experience, by means of a journey in Porto that includes games and guided tours to the places that inspired J.K. Rowling to write such a fantastic saga.

The writer lived for some time in Porto and the tours will include several spots the writer used to go to write her Harry Potter books.

Although the adventure begins on Harry Potter's birthday - 31st July - it will extend throughout August. This initiative was created by the "Bairro dos Livros", and the Potterheads Porto Tours have prepared a roadmap to lead fans in this magical journey.

"It is an opportunity to know or to get to see again the city of Porto through Harry Potter's eyes", states the organisation. "Participants will be able to unveil funny connections between Porto and the Hogwarts universe, regarding characters, habits or architecture".

The journey includes seven moments that relate to the seven books written by J.K. Rowling, oriented by Manuel Sousa, from Gbliss.

Along the road, there will be real wizard conviviality as participants will get to make their own magic potions, cast spells and even play a Quidditch match.
Visits conclude with the Hogwarts special, Butterbeer and Snitch.
